Day 1 Colombo > Udawalawe

The first day of your short tour of Sri Lanka will take you from Colombo to Udawalawe while you will enjoy a three hour long safari at the Udawalawe National Park. You will be travelling through various terrain and will experience wildlife that is endemic to the park. Herds of Sri Lankan elephants, rare and migratory birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians are also found roaming the grounds of the park freely.

Udawalawe National Park

Enjoy a three-hour safari which would give you a chance to explore the amazing Udawalawe National Park. Travel through the marshes, forests, and grasslands of the park that was created as a sanctuary for wildlife in the 1970s. See the water birds and Sri Lankan elephants for which the park is famed. Catch glimpses of the other mammals and birds, as well as the reptiles, amphibians, and butterflies.

Day 2 Udawalawe > Galle > Colombo

The second day will be packed with activities as well with a three hour safari early in the morning. Travel through wetlands, marshes, forest areas and grasslands to experience a safari of a lifetime. Next we head over to Galle which is famed as the Southern capital where you will be directed to the Galle Fort with its magnificent ramparts, cobbled streets, museums, old architectural buildings that were built during the Portuguese and Dutch invasion. You will spend about three hours here and then proceed back to Colombo. 

Udawalawe National Park

Early in the morning proceed to Udawalawe National Park to go on a half-day morning safari in National Park.

Galle Fort

Discover the city of Galle, where the Portuguese and Dutch made their headquarters, and it's secrets. Visit the Galle Fort which is one of the best-preserved fortifications in Asia. View the Maritime Museum, Galle National Museum, and the lighthouse. Walkthrough the cobblestoned streets with their Dutch names as you learn more about their histories.
