Collection: Cycling from Tissamaharama

With a long history and home to many lakes, Tissamaharama is renowned as the starting point when visiting the Yala National Park and the sacred city of Kataragama. The cycling trail that we have introduced enables you to reconnect with the natural beauty of Tissamaharama. A well experienced cycling guide will take you through the trail which starts off along a gravel road and proceeds towards local village dwellings. You will be able to witness herds of buffalo along with various species of birds mainly due to the proximity of the Yala and Kumana National Parks. Peacocks can also be seen roaming around paddy fields. Other attractions and sites that you will cycling to include lake banks, a Chena cultivation and some unforgettable interaction with the village folk.
