Collection: Cycling from Polonnaruwa
The second Kingdom as mentioned in the history books of Sri Lanka, Polonnaruwa has a vast history after the fall of Anuradhapura. The city which boasts of architecturally advanced ruins has many attractions to offer one of the best ways to capture all of these interesting and beautiful sites would be to cycle. The monumental ruins of the Garden City built by King Parakramabahu 1 and some of the Brahmic monuments built by the Cholas during their invasion and also the massive man made lake, the Parakrama Samudraya can be witnessed during these cycling trails. There is also a countryside trail where you can experience the natural beauty and the setting of the local village people and maybe some inland fishing as well.
